Machine Screws
What Are Machine Screws?
Machine Screws is the name given for a range of screw fixings which can either be driven directly into a tapped hole and can also be used with bolds (generally used without bolts for a supper fast fixing/fastener). Because machine screws can often be driven directly into holes, they are often used to save time on a job that needs to be done fast or which doesn't have room or need for wall plugs.
The ASME standards specify "Machine Screws" come in diameters up to 19.05mm (0.74in), but they are mostly available and ordinarily bought in smaller sizes. Some kinds of machine screws are also commonly referred to as stove bolts.
