HCS Jigsaw Blades

These Bosch HCS blades are made of Carbon steel which area ideal for use with softer materials such as softwood, wood fibreboards and soft plastics.

HSS Jigsaw Blades

Fully hardened, high-grade, high speed steel jigsaw blades which are designed to be used with harder materials such as metal, aluminium and non-ferrous metal.

BIM Jigsaw Blades

Bi-metal, a highly elastic bond of both HSS and HCS to meet the greatest demands in cutting. These BIM Bosch jigsaw blades are especially suitable for use in hardwood, abrasive wooden materials, hard plastics, and harder materials such as non-ferrous metal and ferrous metal etc. They have a lifetime about twice as long as the HSS blades and last approx 10 times longer than HSC blades - offering excellent value for money.

TC Jigsaw Blades

Tungsten carbide saw blades are particularly powerful. The tungsten carbide teeth bite through glass fibre reinforced plastic, cement-bonded fibreboards or plasterboard or when formed as a tungsten carbide strip, stainless steel. When a jigsaw blade is coated with tungsten carbide grit such as our range of Bosch blades are, the abrasive material cuts materials such as wall tiles or glass fibre reinforced plastic.

Jigsaw Blade Tooth Geometry

Every material has its own density, some are a lot denser then other and some are not very dense at all. This means that you need to match up the cutting geometry with said density precisely in order to achieve the best quality cuts at the fastest working progress possible for each different materials density. There are several factors involved in this when it comes to jigsaw blades and saw blades for reciprocating saws; 1. the distance between two teeth, 2. tooth shape, 3. cutting angle and 4. the type of offset on the teeth, for example: wavy set, side set and taper ground.

Jigsaw Blade Tooth Geometry:

  1. Milled, side set teeth - These offer a quick and rough cut making them ideal for hard and soft wood as well as aluminium, plastics and other non ferrous metals.
  2. Wavy offset - Offer a fine, straight cut making them ideal for materials such as ply wood, plastics, aluminium, soft steel and other non-ferrous metals.
  3. Ground, side set - Perfectly designed for quick cuts in wood.
  4. Ground, offset taper ground - Offers fine and clean cuts in both wood and plastic.

Jigsaw Blade Tooth Spacing:

  1. Small closer teeth spacing
  2. Medium spaced teeth
  3. Large teeth spacing
  4. Progressive spacing of the teeth, moving futher apart towards the end of the blade
  5. Variable spaced teeth along the blade
  6. Coated teeth
